The company rahalah is owned by Said Ahmed Said Al Balushi, who was born and raised in Sur.
Most of the trips are being guided by Ibrahim Salim Hilal al-Balushi.
Born in 1973, he grew up together with Said Ahmad in a big family in the old seaport of Sur. In 1998 he started to work in tourism: getting to know people from different cultures and give them an understanding of the Omani culture and life has been his inner drive since then.
Both are working for and with the German tour operator “nomad. Reisen zu den Menschen“.
Ibrahim is guiding desert expeditions into Rub al-Khali, camel trekkings in Ramlat al-Wahiba and donkey trekkings besides “normal” roundtrips, mostly with camping overnights.
Besides they’re caring together with Khalid Abbas and Djamila al-Balushi for rental cars (Toyota Hilux and Toyota Landcruiser), whom they rent together with roof top tents and fully equipped.
Ibrahim is also working as a fixer and stringer for media productions. Former projects included documentaries (f.e. for German channels ZDF and German/French arte) and print productions (f.e. magazines like Geo Saison).
